Why this site exists
Taipei is easy to love but surprisingly hard to plan from a blank page. Too many guides overwhelm you with lists; too many itineraries ignore pacing. Love Taipei is built around a simple idea: one great day is made of a few anchors and lots of texture.
We focus on high-signal recommendations: neighborhood walks, iconic sights worth the effort, food missions that actually fit a schedule, and practical tips that remove friction. The goal is not to “do everything”—it’s to experience Taipei with enough calm to notice it.
Our planning philosophy
- Plan by district. Transfers cost more than you think.
- Build in cafés. A 45-minute break can save an entire day.
- Night markets are dinners and entertainment at once—use them.
- One “icon” per day is enough. Texture is the real souvenir.
Where to start
If you’re not sure what to read first, start with one “big picture” page and one “day plan” page. After that, pick a neighborhood and let the food follow naturally.
Keeping pages fresh
Wherever we mention time-sensitive details (hours, tickets, event dates), we try to link you to the most reliable place to verify it. Many pages also show a “Last updated” date so you can judge freshness at a glance.
